Hands down funniest thing that’s ever happened to me was when this girl who, like, exploited my mental illness for woke points came over during an episode and made me this stunning Pinterest-worthy pillow fort full of fairy lights so I could have an “anxiety nest”, but I was literally sobbing so violently that I was throwing up, and when I was like, “I can’t actually drink tea in a tent right now because I think I need to go to the hospital,” she called me an ungrateful slut and left.

And then STILL posted Instagram pictures of the fort with a lengthy, pretentious caption about how hard it was to be friends with crazy people.

I was angry at the time, but honestly? Delightful. Just imagine your friend is too dehydrated and delirious to hold his own inhaler and you’re angry because he won’t get in your fort.

This whole uwu soft anxious bb culture is so dangerous specifically for this reason.

People think anxiety can always be cured by soft things and tea

And depression can be cured by being a Netflix burrito for a day

Or that ad.d. is some cute quirky thing rather than the debilitating education killer it can be.

Or that being pro ana will get you to your goal weight of heroine chic so you’ll look like a Victoria secret model (plot twist you wont)

Painting this cutesy soft picture of mental illness hurts people and makes it more difficult for people to understand how it affects us.
